LITTLE DRESSAGE CELEBRATES THE CLOSE OF THE WINTER 2020 SEASON WITH FOUR SERIES CHAMPIONSHIPS

White Fences Swag 2020.jpg

March 15, 2020 – Little Dressage celebrated four White Fences Series Championships in four divisions, finishing a spectacular 2020 winter season.  Billionaire, owned by Shawneen Jacobs, was named Prix St. Georges Champion, with numerous wins over the season and his top score of over 76%. Finley, owned by Shawneen Jacobs, was Reserve Champion in his first season of Grand Prix, even though he only competed a handful of tests at this new level. Ebony the dancing Friesian, owned by Shawneen Jacobs, earned the FEI Freestyle Championship with her Grand Prix program and scores to 74.5%. Grandine, owned by Maree Josee Snyder, was named Third Level Open Champion with scores over 74%, despite being a new partnership with Janine this season. Hendrix earned scores into the 70s and gained valuable experience for his promising future. Janine Little was also honoured to receive the Best Seat Award at both White Fences II and White Fences III.

Little Dressage would like to thank everyone who made the successes of this season possible. Although the season was cut short by COVID-19 precautions and show cancellations, we are tremendously appreciative of the wonderful support of many, such as the owners of the horses for whom it is always an honour to go up the centreline: Shawneen Jacobs and Maree Josee Snyder, as well as owners whose horses did not have a chance to compete due to show cancellations. Huge thanks to Jenn Harris for her expert grooming and support at the shows, as well as to the support team at the Florida home base of Lady Jean Ranch — grooms, workers, farriers, vets, and everyone who pitches in to contribute and make it such a great place to be. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful barn community for our winters! Thanks as well to Joanna Cockerline who manages our media at Little Dressage, and to Leanne Peniuk Photography, responsible for our stunning photo shoots. We are also sincerely appreciative of the organizers, volunteers, and sponsors of the White Fences Championship Series; from the fantastic venue to the easy trailer parking and stabling to the thoughtful meals provided, the organizers go above and beyond to accommodate everyone. We are sad our show season got cut short, as we had hoped to get a couple of other horses out to the next shows, but understand prioritizing health in this context of a global pandemic crisis, and we wish everyone health and safety at this sensitive time. Thank you, so much, to all who made 2020 such a fantastic success!
